Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary Fest Hosts Goku's Voice Masako Nozawa

The Dragon Ball franchise announced “Dragon Ball Genkidama Matsuri” (Dragon Ball Spirit Bomb Festival), a 40th anniversary festival at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba Prefecture on January 25, 2026. Masako Nozawa, the voice of Son Goku, will appear for two stage events. Entry to the festival is free, but fans must enter a drawing for a ticket.

The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the venue's Halls 9 to 11. Nozawa and Dragon Ball's executive producer Akio Iyoku will appear at two stage events at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. A third half-hour stage event at 5:30 p.m. will feature Hironobu Kageyama for a live performance alongside Nozawa and Iyoku.
The ticket drawing has two rounds. The first round began on October 17 and will continue until November 3. Ticket winners will be announced on November 7. The second round will run between November 7 and 30 with winners announced on December 4. Tickets are for the 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. entry timeslots. (Each applicant can enter for up to two tickets each in two event entry timeslots per drawing application.) Fans will also need to register as a LAWSON Ticket member to enter the drawing.
