Naoki Urasawa Manga Gallery

Every year Japan Expo creates galleries for it's guests of honor and other deserving artists. In the past Japan Expo has honored Shotaro Ishinomori, Satoshi Kon and Tsukasa Hojo, among others.

One of this year's galleries focussed on the art and manga of Naoki Urasawa, a guest of honor at this year's convention.

The first thing you see when you enter is this life-size model of Friend. A lot of people are startled into thinking that it's an actual person.

During show hours these shelves are filled with Urasawa's manga, however these pictures were taken before the show opened.

Each room focuses on a different one of Urasawa's titles.
