This year's 15th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine announced on Friday that Kentarō Miura's Berserk manga has 27 million copies in print in Japan and 8 million copies in print overseas. The announcement lists that the manga has been published in the U.S., Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Brazil, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Miura resumed Berserk as a monthly series on Friday after a 10-month hiatus. The 15th issue of Young Animal also bundled a separate booklet that featured the previous four chapters leading up to the new chapter. Those four chapters continue where volume 37, the latest volume, left off.
Hakusensha published the 37th compiled book volume of Berserk in Japan in March 2013. Dark Horse Comics published the same volume in North America in December 2013. The manga inspired a new movie trilogy from Studio 4°C that Viz Media released in North America.
