The official Twitter account for Neko Works' NEKOPARA game revealed last Saturday that the series has sold over 2 million copies.

Sekai Project released the Nekopara Vol. 1 visual novel on PC via Steam in December 2014. The company also released the Nekopara Vol. 0 fandisc prequel on PC in August 2015, and the Nekopara Vol. 2 game in February 2016. Sekai Project also released the first game in an uncensored adult version. Neko Works released Nekopara Vol. 3 in Japan last May, and Sekai Project released the game on Steam in English on the same day as the Japanese release.

The game will receive ports for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Sekai Project hosted a Kickstarter campaign to create an OVA based on Neko Works and Sayori's NEKOPARA adult visual novel in January 2017. The campaign ended in March 2017 after a "Slacker Backer" campaign with a total of US$1,049,552 raised.

The OVA launched on Steam in December, and Neko Works also started shipping physical goods for backers on December 26, with overseas shipments going out at the beginning of this year. The anime also screened in Tokyo on January 1.
