This could explain why de Rais suddenly becomes obsessed with Sekai when she and Sovieul find themselves in his castle... though it doesn't explain why de Rais believes Sekai is Joan of Arc! Of course, with Machiavello lurking in the background, deceit and deviltry should absolutely be expected!
Machiavello escapes through time, telling Sekai to take care of her body (which houses the gem he wants) until he returns for it again. Sekai, Sovieul and the doll S are reunited and prepare to jump through time again.
