Panty & Stocking's Panty and Stocking

In the above photo, cosplayers Haruhi (left), Torchilina (center), and Google (right) portray Stocking, Panty, and a second Stocking, respectively. The characters appear in the original Gainax television anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. In the series, Panty and Stocking are angels fallen from heaven who must set aside their personal proclivities— Panty's for casual sex, Stocking's for sweets and snacks —and fight supernatural beings in Daten City (a pun on the Japanese word datenshi, or fallen angel).
The costumes depicted here are specifically from the series' eighth episode, in which the characters become police officers for the day only to deal with a zombie invasion.
