Model/singer & gag manga creator team up in Kakko Kawaii Sengen! Pamyu Pamyu Revolution

On Monday, 19-year-old fashion model and singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu appears in the latest Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! manga installment in the July issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine. Jigoku no Misawa created this Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! Pamyu Pamyu Revolution chapter as part of his ongoing manga series.

The surreal manga tells the story of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu spreading cuteness across the world. Misawa drew Kyary Pamyu Pamyu in his signature style, with small eyes and mouth in the middle of a large face, along with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's original rabbit character Pamyurin.

The two artists previously appeared at Nico Nico Super Kaigi event that attracted 92,384 attendees during the April 28-29 weekend. There, the two artists discussed and began collaborating on the project onstage.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's first album Pamyu Pamyu Revolution debuted at #1 on the United States iTunes Store's bestselling electronic album chart on May 23. The Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! manga inspired two television seasons of anime shorts. Blue Exorcist celebrated April Fool's Day by "leaking" a four-minute clip from the upcoming film — but it was actually an anime short of the Blue Exorcist cast as drawn by Jigoku no Misawa.
