The official website for the Dokidoki! Precure anime revealed theme song, character, and story details for the upcoming anime.

The story is as follows:

Just when Mana Aida, second-year student at Ōkai 1st Middle School, was about to reach the observatory at the top of the Clover Tower in her town, a monster appears. Mana, who jumps into action without thinking, is met by Charles, a fairy from the Trump Kingdom. With her help, she transforms into Cure Heart!

Mana Aida/Cure Heart is a very energetic and bright girl who is the student council president at her school. She is not just relied on by her fellow students, but also by the adults around her. She usually acts before she thinks. She tries fixing all problems by throwing herself into it. Her partner is Charles, who has a passionate heart and always does her best.

Rikka Hishikawa/Cure Diamond is a girl full of purity and wisdom. She is childhood friends with Mana, and lives in her neighborhood. Ever since they were small, she has not been able to ignore Mana, who has always been struck with bad luck. She is always by her as her support if something goes wrong. She loves studying so much that she got into the Top Ten on the national mock exams. Her partner is Rachel, who is very mature.

Arisu Yotsuba/ Cure Rosetta is the distinguished daughter of the Yotsuba financial clan. She is a kind, spacey girl. She has been going to the same elementary school as Mana since she was small, but now she attends the prestigious Nanatsuhashi Academy. Because she is so high-bred, she sometimes says things that separate her from the "common-folk," things that often shock those around her. Her partner is Lance, the youngest of the fairies. Lance is also quite spoiled.

Cure Sword is a Pretty Cure warrior who escaped from the Trump Kingdom with Queen Mary Ange to Earth, although she is now separated from her. She regrets that she could not save her kingdom, and works her hardest to find the queen as quickly as possible. Her partner is Dabby, who is worried that Cure Sword does not rely on her allies.

Tomoyo Kurosawa will perform the "Happy Go Lucky! Dokidoki! Precure" opening theme song, while Hitomi Yoshida will perform the ending theme, "Kono Sora no Mukou". The theme song CD will be released on March 6 in Japan.

The anime will begin airing in Japan on February 3.
