Universal Studios Japan to Offer Evangelion, Attack on Titan Attractions in January

Universal Studios Japan announced on Tuesday that it will hold its Universal Cool Japan 2017 event on December 16 until June 25. The event will encompass four different attractions, which include two based on Neon Genesis Evangelion and Attack on Titan.

The "Evangelion XR Ride" will feature virtual reality goggles to give patrons a 360-degree experience. The attraction will feature at the Space Fantasy – The Ride in the park, and will be offered from January 13 to June 25. This is the third Evangelion attraction that the park has provided, after the "Evangelion the Real 4D" in 2015, and last year's "Evangelion the Real 4D: 2.0."

The "Shingeki no Kyojin the Real 4D 2" attraction will feature the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan in a 4D theater experience, and will be offered from January 13 to June 25. The park previously featured an "Attack on Titan The Real" attraction as part of its Universal Cool Japan 2016 event.

Aside from Evangelion and Attack on Titan, the park will also offer the "Godzilla: The Real 4D" and the "Sengoku the Real at Ōsaka-jō" attractions.
