MegaBots, Kuratas Giant Robot Showdown Set for August

The robot battle for the ages has waited in the wings for almost two years since the U.S.-based MegaBots company challenged Suidobashi Heavy Industry's million-dollar Kuratas robot to a battle to the death. MegaBots since completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to outfit its robot and produced a documentary series chronicling the progress.
The match was set to appear on television but when was unknown. Well, MegaBots won't keep us waiting anymore. Creators Matt Oehrlein and Gui Cavalcanti released a video on Wednesday with details and announced the duel will take place in August and viewers can tune in on the MegaBots and Suidobashi YouTube channels. The location, however, is remaining a secret and it sounds like the television broadcast isn't a sure thing anymore.
