Fist of the North Star Gear Brings Manliness to Hiroshima's Baseball Team

It's spring, and in Japan that means pleasant weather, a floral wave of pink, the beginning of the school year, and perhaps most exciting of all, the start of baseball season. The Hiroshima Toyo Carp enter the season with extra anticipation, as they won the Central League last year for the first time in 25 years and attract a growing fanbase. Now Kenshiro and Raoh of Fist of the North Star are doing their part to pump up excitement for the Carp with this baseball gear in the team's colors (red and white).
The T-shirt costs 3,240 yen ($29) while the face towel costs 2,160 yen ($19.30). The goods can be bought at Flaxus in the Aeon Mall, Kusuri no Wellness at Hiroshima Airport, Village Vanguard at the Danbara shopping center, the Poplar Okuya branch, and the Poplar Numata PA branch, all of which are in Hiroshima.
Hiroshima Toyo Carp's female fans were popular enough to feature in Jiyū Kokumin Sha's list of top buzzwords of the year in 2014. For their part, Kenshiro and Raoh have been appearing in many fan-made works and magazines lately. However, since many of them are inspired by the recent parody manga Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor, their depictions aren't always quite this serious.
