posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Voice actress and singer Aya Hirano will hold her first live concert in four years this summer. Hirano has scheduled shows in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka and Aichi in August. The concerts will include original songs by Hirano, anime theme songs, and musical theater songs. The AYA HIRANO SPECIAL LIVE 2019~Storm Rider~ will focus on original songs and anisongs while "AYA HIRANO 1st MUSICAL CONCERT 2019~Starry Night~" will center on musical theater tracks.

Organizers for the Storm Rider concerts are planning a crowdfunding campaign to put together a "hands-on menu" for fans. Ideas include merchandise by Hirano herself, participating in a live recording session, and an exclusive concert limited to just 25 fans.

The Storm Rider concert is currently scheduled as a single show in Tokyo on August 8. The Starry Night concerts will be held twice daily on August 10, 11, and 17 in Yokohama, Osaka, and Nagoya.

Hirano began acting as a child, but she received her big break when she starred in the title role of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series. She has performed theme songs for anime such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Fairy Tail, and Lucky Star, another television series for which she headlined. She returned to Japan in September 2017 from studying abroad in New York.

This year she's appeared at Quebec's Nadeshicon and U.S.-based FanimeCon, and Kawaii Kon conventions.
