Dragon Quest Slime Controller Hops To Nintendo Switch

In 2017, Dragon Quest's iconic Slimes found a new form as PlayStation 4 controllers. And now with the news that Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 27, the Square Enix Store has announced that the Switch will get its own premium Slime controller to ship on the same day.
The controller comes with a cardboard stand shaped like a treasure chest, which you can perch your Switch and your Slime on. You can even dress up your Slime to make it look like a King Slime, a nice touch that even the PlayStation 4 Slime controllers didn't have.
Pre-orders on the Japanese store opened on Wednesday for the wireless Slime controller, which will cost 10,778 yen (US$99).
