2nd fundraising stretch goal attained for official dub, "backer dub," LA premiere

Production I.G. and Masaaki Yuasa's Kick-Heart anime has surpassed its second supplementary fundraising "stretch goal" of US$200,000 on Tuesday, and therefore will now have an English dub.

Richard Epcar, the voice of Batou in the English dub of the Ghost in the Shell films, will contribute to the English dub, and there will also be a special "backer dub" audio track produced at the same time. This backer dub will let a select number of reward purchasers voice characters in the film as a secondary audio track. Titmouse Animation Studios will sponsor a Los Angeles premiere screening and party.

The project is hosting a live "Final Campaign Countdown" on the Google Hangout service. The next stretch goal is US$225,000 for a 3-5 minute animated Oorutaichi music video directed by Yuasa.
