Latair the Earth Anime Reveals Cast, Video, Theme Song, September 5 Debut

An anime adaptation for Haruka Takagishi's children's picture book Latair the Earth will debut on September 5. The anime's official website revealed on Thursday a visual, cast, and video. The video reveals and introduces a dance for the theme song "Chikyū no Orchestra" (Earth Orchestra) by Yukari Tamura (Latair) and the Earth Savers, consisting of Reo Tanie (Kanade) and a children's choir.


The anime will debut on NHK Educational TV on September 5 at 6:40 p.m. JST, and it will air on Fridays. The series will have five episodes.
The anime stars:
- Yukari Tamura as Latair
- Reo Tanie as Kanade
- Kaori Nazuka as Arabian Oryx (female)
- Satoshi Inomata as Arabian Oryx (male)
- Hiroki Nanami as Quetzal
Shōji Kawamori (Macross) is supervising the work. French artist Thomas Romain's (Oban Star-Racers, Code Lyoko) is the illustrator.
Takagishi released the Latair to Earth Savers ~Zetsumetsu Kigushu ga Oshiete-kureru Koto (Latair and the Earth Savers: What Endangered Species Teach Us) book in Japanese with English translation by her 10-year-old daughter Kaede Takagishi in September 2024.
The biodiversity story follows Kanade, an Earth Saver, and Latair, a fairy who can transform Kanade into other creatures.
