Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl Slated for October 1

posted on by Karen Ressler

North American video game publisher Atlus USA announced on Monday that it will release its Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (Shin Sekaija no Meikyū: Millennium no Shōjo) Nintendo 3DS game on October 1. The game is currently available for pre-order and will sell in stores and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS for US$39.99.

The game remakes the original Etrian Odyssey with a new story mode and features found in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan. The story mode allows players to use five pre-made characters with personality and dialogue to explore a story not told in the first game. The game will also feature a Grimoire Stone system allowing characters to use skills outside of their classes.

The game shipped in Japan on June 27 for 6,279 yen (about US$63). The first copies of the game included a soundtrack of exclusive music by Yuzo Koshiro with an illustration by character designer Yuji Himukai. Shigeo Komori directed the game, and Shin Nagasawa designed the monsters. Studio Madhouse produced various anime sequences in the game.
