Sentai Filmworks Adds Hayate the Combat Butler Anime

First anime based on Kenjirō Hata's comedy manga aired in 2007
North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks announced on Monday that it has licensed the Hayate the Combat Butler anime. The company plans to release the series digitally and on home video.
Sentai Filmworks has also licensed the third anime series Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You and the fourth anime series Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties. The second anime series, Hayate the Combat Butler, has not yet been licensed.
Bandai Entertainment previously licensed and released part of the series.
The anime ran for 52 episodes in 2007 and 2008, adapting Kenjirō Hata's original manga. Viz Media publishes the manga in North America.
