1st volume of manga slated for March 8

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced on Wednesday that it has licensed Haruka Fukushima's Kimi no Neiro (Your Melody) manga. The company will release the manga's first volume on March 8.

The manga's story centers on Akira Tsubakiya, a girl who has always been bothered by how tall she is. Everyone thinks she acts more like a guy than a girl. She has a crush on Haru, whom she made a promise with to enter a prestigious high school together. Haru told her that he likes girls with long hair, and so, having grown it out through all of middle school, Akira tries to confess her feelings to Haru... until she finds out that Haru has a long-haired girlfriend. Frustrated, she cuts her hair short again, deciding that there is no point in acting like a girl for a guy's sake.

Now in high school, Akira wears a skirt, but maintains the men's uniform for her top half, and is the subject of all the girls' attention. Here, she meets Haru's girlfriend, whom she finds out is actually a boy.

Fukushima launched the manga in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine in 2010, and ended it in 2011. Kodansha published four compiled book volumes for the manga.
