This year's April issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine announced on Tuesday that the Macross Delta: Kuroki Tsubasa no Shirokishi and Hitokiri Share House manga will end in the next issue on March 28.
Azuki Fuji launched the Macross Delta: Kuroki Tsubasa no Shirokishi (White Knight of the Black Wing) manga in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum in April 2016. The first volume shipped on October 25.
The manga is a side story to the Macross Delta anime, and it tells a story of the Aerial Knights' past. The series is one of three Macross Delta manga adaptations that launched in spring 2016, around the time of the anime series premiere. Tatsuwo's Macross Delta manga is running in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius, Kei Ichimonji's Macross Delta Gaiden: Macross E manga is running in Kodansha's Magazine Special, and Shion Mizuki's Macross Delta: Ginga o Michibiku Utahime manga is running in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex.
Ai Ninomiya and Ikumi Katagiri launched the Hitokiri Share House manga in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum last February. Ichijinsha shipped the first compiled volume on August 25.
The "different species youth story" takes place in the 27th year of an alternate Meiji era (where the kanji used for "Meiji" mean "maze"). A self-proclaimed samurai named Naguri travels from the countryside to the capital Asakusa to achieve his dream, and he moves into a share house. In Asakusa spirits, samurai, and technology coexist.
Ninomiya and Katagiri had ended their Are You Alice? manga in June 2015. Yen Press published the series in North America.
