Anime shorts about woman in relationship with priest premieres on April 2

The official Twitter account for the television anime adaptation of Reon Maomi's Sōryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni... (On a Lustful Night Mingling with a Priest...) adult manga began streaming a television ad for the series on Friday. The video reveals and previews ISAO's theme song "meaning of life."

The anime's official website has also revealed the show's staff. Hideki Araki (Innocent: Shōjo Memoria, Paradise of Innocence) is directing the anime at studio Seven. Makoto Takada is writing and overseeing the scripts, and Mizuki Aoba (Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen) is designing the characters.

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX at night on Sunday, April 2 from 1:00-1:05 a.m. (effectively Monday morning). The anime will also stream on the Comic Festa website's "Anime Zone" streaming corner. The anime will have a total of 12 episodes.

The cast includes (Note: Name readings are not official):

  • Maika Hara as Mio Fukaya
  • Yō Suzuki as Takahide Kujō
  • Nerine Akiyama as Shiori Kujō
  • Pāma Kurukuru as Kiyotaka Kujō
  • Ren'ya Kojita as Yukitaka Kujō

The story begins when a woman reunites with her first love at a class reunion. She discovers that Kujō has taken over his family's temple as a priest. The woman thought that priests did not have romantic relationships, but a passion ignites between the two. She wonders if what she and the priest do is really right.

W Comics ZR's Junai Kakumei G! label began releasing Maomi's series digitally in 2014. The publisher Seiunsha launched in 2015 to publish W Comics manga in print, and it released the first compiled book volume that June. Suiseisha's Clair TL Comics imprint released the third compiled book volume in print in June 2016, and W Comics ZR released the 10th volume digitally in September.
