The official website for the the television anime adaptation of Higasa Akai's The Royal Tutor (Ōshitsu Kyōshi Heine or Königliche Familie Lehrer) manga announced on Friday that Takuya Eguchi (91 Days' Nero Vanetti, Haikyu!! Second Season's Yūji Terushima) will play Rosenberg, a mysterious count.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka on April 4 at 26:05 (effectively April 5 at 2:05 a.m.). The series will also air on BS Japan and AT-X and stream online.
The Avex Pictures booth at AnimeJapan 2017 will hold a stage event for the anime on March 25. The website unveiled a special illustration of the five main characters with tulips that will debut at the event. Merchandise featuring the illustration will go on sale for the first time at the event.
The anime's cast also includes:
Keisuke Ueda as Heine Wittgenstein, the royal tutor to four unique princes. Although mistaken for a child, he is actually an adult man.
Yūya Asato as Kai von Grannzreich, the 17-year-old second prince. He is a silent young man who rarely makes public appearances. He is known as the "Glancing Prince" because of his sharp gaze coercing people.
Yūto Adachi as Bruno von Grannzreich, the 16-year-old third prince. He is a prodigy who has had a sharp mind from a very young age and is called a genius.
Daisuke Hirose as Leonhardt von Grannzreich, the 15-year-old fourth prince. He believes he is the most beautiful person on the western continent and calls himself the "White Lily of Grannzreich." He is the "Pride Everest Prince" who hates teachers.
Shouta Aoi as Richt von Grannzreich, the 14-year-old fifth prince. He wears a sweet mask, and his bright personality helps him form close relationships with foreign royalty. He is the "Character Prince" whose light and friendly demeanor make him seem like he's not royalty.
Shinnosuke Tachibana as Maximilian, a palace guard. He has a cheerful demeanor.
Daisuke Namikawa as Ludwig, a palace guard. He has a serious demeanor.
Toshiyuki Morikawa as Victor von Grannzreich, the current king of Grannzreich and the father of four trouble-making princes.
A stage play adaptation with the same five main cast members as the television anime will premiere this year.
Katsuya Kikuchi (Idol Memories, Sengoku Paradise Kiwami) is directing the anime at the studio Bridge (Nobunagun, Fairy Tail). Kimiko Ueno (Kuromajyo-san ga Tōru!!) is in charge of series composition, and Rena Okuyama (Idol Memories, Sengoku Paradise Kiwami) is designing the characters. Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Outbreak Company) is composing the music at Avex Pictures. Shōgo Sakamoto is performing the opening theme song "Shoppoi Namida" (Salty Tears).
Accepting the post of Royal Tutor at the court of the king of Grannzreich, Heine Wittgenstein is a little professor with a big job ahead! Each of the kingdom's four princes has a rather distinct personality. Does their diminutive new instructor have what it takes to lay down some learning? It's a comedy of educational proportions!
Akai launched the manga in Monthly G Fantasy in November 2013, and Square Enix published the seventh compiled book volume in October. The eighth volume and a new official character book will ship on March 27.
