Elex Media Licenses Kyouko Hikawa's Jikan o Tomete Matteite Old West Manga

1st volume of sequel to Miriam manga slated for December 20

Elex Media revealed last Friday that it has licensed Kyouko Hikawa's Jikan o Tomete Matteite (Stop Time and Wait for Me) manga. The company will release the manga's first volume on December 20.

The manga is a sequel to Hikawa's Miriam manga, and is set 10 years after the first manga's story. The now-18-year-old girl Miriam is still in love with Douglas, once only the leader of their local gang of teenage ruffians, now a 27-year-old cowboy and gunman. But Douglas does not see Miriam as anything more than a child. When Miriam goes missing on a trip, Douglas finds her, only to discover that she has lost her memories, and has had a run-in with a band of outlaws.

The manga ran in in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine from 1985 to 1988, and Hakusensha published three compiled book volumes for the manga. The manga received one further sequel titled Sorenari ni Romantic. That manga ran for three issues of LaLa magazine in 1989, and had one volume.

Hikawa launched the Miriam manga in LaLa magazine in 1983, and ended it in 1984. Hakusensha published three compiled book volumes for the series, but the manga was also recompiled into two bunko format volumes. Elex Media published the second and final volume in Indonesia on October 25.
