Kenji Nomura (Drifters' Gilles de Rais) as Tatsuuma Ushiyama

The site also announced that Takayuki Sugō (Bungo Stray Dogs 2's Herman M.) will play Shinpachi Nagakura, but didn't reveal a design for the character.

The previously revealed cast includes:

Chikahiro Kobayashi (supporting roles in Gintama, Gingitsune, Granblue Fantasy the Animation) as Saichi Sugimoto

Haruka Shiraishi (From Up On Poppy Hill's Sora, A Centaur's Life's Kyōko, Anne-Happy's Hibari) as Asirpa

Kentarou Itou (Naruto Shippūden's Chouji Akimichi, Yowamushi Pedal's Jin Tadakoro, Bleach's Renji Abarai) as "The Escape King" Yoshitake Shiraishi

Houchu Ohtsuka (Ajin's Satō, Naruto's Jiraiya) as First Lieutenant Tsurumi

Kenjiro Tsuda (DEVILMAN crybaby's Kōji Nagasaki, Sound! Euphonium's Takuya Gotō) as Hyakunosuke Ogata

Yoshimasa Hosoya (My Hero Academia's Fumikage Tokoyami, Attack on Titan's Reiner Braun) as Genjirō Tanigaki

The series will premiere in April on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, Sapporo TV, and BS11, and will stream in Japan only on the Fuji-on-Demand (FOD) service.

Hitoshi Nanba (Fate/Grand Order: First Order, Gosick, Heroman, Baki the Grappler, We have always been 10 cm apart.) is directing the series at Geno Studio, and Noboru Takagi (Baccano!, Durarara!!, Altair: A Record of Battles, Kuroko's Basketball) is handling the series scripts. Kenichi Ohnuki (Gundam Build Fighters, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, Samurai Gun) is designing the characters. Jin Aketagawa is the sound director at Magic Capsule, Hiroshi Nakagawa is the Ainu language supervisor, Eugenio Uzhinin is the Russian language supervisor, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.

MAN WITH A MISSION is performing the show's opening theme song, and THE SIXTH LIE is performing the ending theme song.

Viz Media is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the first volume:

In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.

NODA launched the ongoing manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in 2014. Shueisha published the 12th volume on December 19. The manga has 4.2 million copies in print.

NODA received a Manga Taisho award for the manga in March 2016. The series was also nominated for Best General Manga at the 40th annual Kodansha Manga Awards and for the 20th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2016.
