Kodansha USA Licenses Starving Anonymous, Perfect World, Liar x Liar Manga Digitally

Kodansha Comics announced on Tuesday that it has licensed the following titles for digital-first English publication: Starving Anonymous (Shokuryō Jinrui: Starving Anonymous), Perfect World, and Liar x Liar. Kodansha Comics' "digital first" titles are available on digital platforms only, but may get print releases.
The first volume of Starving Anonymous will launch on March 13. Kodansha Comics describes the story:
It's a day like any other, and high school students I'e and Kazu are on the bus home from school when, suddenly, it floods with a mysterious gas. The pair pass out and wake up to find themselves aboard a truck packed full of human bodies. They're surrounded by rows of frozen corpses … and a staff of living human beings sawing them into pieces. Where are they … and how can they escape from this nightmare?
Yuu Kuraishi (Fort of Apocalypse, My Wife is Wagatsuma-san) writes the story based on Kengo Mizutani's original plan, and Kazu Inabe (Fort of Apocalypse) provides the art. The manga launched in Kodansha's e Young Magazine digital magazine in 2016 and Kodansha published the fourth compiled volume last November.
The first volume of Rie Aruga's Perfect World will launch on March 20. Kodansha Comics describes the story:
26-year-old Tsugumi Kawana reunites with her first crush from high school, Itsuki Ayukawa, at a get-together between an architecture firm and the interior design company she works at. He sends her heart aflutter, until she realizes he's now disabled, and in a wheelchair. At first she feels she couldn't date a guy in a wheelchair, but then her feelings begin to change …
Aruga launched the manga in Kiss magazine in February 2015. Kodansha published the manga's sixth compiled book volume last September and the seventh volume is slated for April 13.
A live-action film adaptation will premiere on October 5.
The first volume of Renjuro Kindaichi's Liar x Liar will launch on March 27. Kodansha Comics describes the story:
One day, after borrowing her friend's high school uniform and taking a walk around town on a whim, Minato runs into her younger stepbrother, Toru! Toru believes Minato when she insists she's someone else . ..but now it looks like he's fallen in love with her high school girl disguise?! A weird, weird love story begins!
Kindaichi (Haré+Guu) launched the manga in Kodansha's Dessert in 2010 and ended it last year. The 10th and final volume shipped last September.
The manga ranked #10 in Takarajimasha Inc.'s Kono Manga ga Sugoi ranking in 2012, and was nominated for the 39th annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2015.
