Takashi Minakuchi will draw the manga, and it will begin serialization in Square Enix's Manga Up! app and Gangan GA online magazine in "a few days" alongside the launch of the novel in Gangan GA.
The novel has nine planned chapters:
- Red Blade of Doom
- Proving Grounds of Wire Frame
- Bushwhacker and Highwayman
- Critical of the Tiger
- Trial of Champions
- Dead Space
- Lair of the Evil Samurai
- Daikatana of Singing Death
- Youth and Ash, Side by Side
SB Creative published the first volume of Kagyu's Goblin Slayer dark fantasy novel series in February 2016, and Kōsuke Kurose (The [email protected] Neue Green for Dearly Stars) launched an ongoing manga adaptation in Big Gangan in May 2016. Kento Eida began serializing a manga spinoff titled Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One (seen right) in September 2017, and Kagyu began serializing the novel version in October 2017.
