Dropkick on My Devil! Anime's Bonus Episode Slated for October 1 Streaming

The official Twitter account for the television anime of Yukiwo's Jashin-chan Dropkick (Dropkick on My Devil!) manga revealed on Tuesday that the anime's bonus episode will debut on Amazon Prime Video on October 1.

The Twitter account also posted screenshots from the episode on Thursday. The official YouTube video for the anime also began streaming a video for the new episode on Thursday, but the video is currently unavailable due to copyright restrictions.

The series' home video releases listed the show with 12 episodes — 11 episodes for the main series and one unaired bonus episode. The 11th and final television episode debuted on September 17, and a "Bonus Episode 0" program featuring a talk show between the show's main characters with live-action segments debuted on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on September 24. The talk show video is not available on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.

The anime premiered on July 9. The anime is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan. The staff noted earlier this month that there might be a sequel if enough Blu-ray Disc box sets sell.

Hikaru Sato (Chronicles of the Going Home Club) is directing the series at Nomad (Chronicles of the Going Home Club, School-Live!). Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Is the order a rabbit?) is overseeing the series scripts, and is also writing the scripts alongside Momoko Murakami (Muromi-san, Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara.). Makoto Koga (Aria the Animation, Blessing of the Campanella) is serving as both character designer and chief animation director, and Yuki Kurihara and Yuzuru Jinma are composing the music. Kouichirou Natsume (Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds, anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day film) is the executive producer.

The original comedy manga by Yukiwo centers on Yurine Hanazono, a college student who summons Jashin-chan, a demon from the underworld. Now they must live together in a run-down apartment in Tokyo's Jinbōchō district. If Yurine dies, Jashin-chan gets to go back to the underworld, so she constantly plots to kill Yurine.
