posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Strange Lessons by Professor Terror manga launched on Thursday

This year's 46th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine published the first chapter on Thursday of writer Carlo Zen (The Saga of Tanya the Evil) and artist Ten Ishida's new manga Strange Lessons by Professor Terror (Terror-kyōju no Ayashii Jugyō). The manga also runs in D Morning.

The manga centers on the university professor Tim Lawrence. When a freshman student gets an invitation to a strange club, Professor Tim saves him. Professor Tim's words captivate the student, and the student decides to join his seminar.

Zen and artist Yoshinao Shina launched a new manga titled Baikoku Kikan (Treason Agency) on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch manga website on June 29.

Zen launched the The Saga of Tanya the Evil light novel series with illustrations by Shinobu Shinotsuki in 2013, and Kadokawa published the 10th volume on September 29. Chika Tōjō's manga adaptation is serializing in Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace magazine, and the 11th volume will ship on November 24. Yen Press has licensed both for North America.

The novels inspired an anime adaptation that premiered in January 2017. An anime film will premiere in Japan on February 8.
