Haikyū!! Manga Gets New Stage Play in April-May 2019

The official website for the Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!! series of stage plays revealed the seventh stage play in the franchise, subtitled "Tokyo no Jin," on Saturday. The play will run in Osaka at the Umeda Arts Theater Drama City from April 4-14, then in Miyagi at the Tagajo City Cultural Center from April 20-21, and in Tokyo at Tokyo Dome City Hall from April 27 through May 6. Worry Kinoshita is returning from the previous six plays to direct the play and pen the script.
The play will include 23 cast members from the Nekoma High, Fukurōdani Academy, and Nohebi Academy schools.
The sixth stage play, Hyper-Projection Engeki Haikyu!! "Saikyō no Team" (Hyper-Projection Stage Play Haikyu!! "The Strongest Team"), ran at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo on October 20-28, Hatsukaichi Bunka Hall in Hiroshima on November 9-10, Amashin Archaic Hall in Hyogo on November 15-18, Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka on November 23-25, Tagajo City Civic Hall in Miyagi on November 30-December 2, and at Nippon Seinenkan in Tokyo on December 7-16.
Hyper-Projection Engeki Haikyu!! "Hajimari no Kyojin" (Hyper-Projection Stage Play Haikyu!! "The Giant of Beginnings"), the fifth stage play of the series, ran in Tokyo, Hyōgo, Fukuoka, Miyagi, and Osaka in April through June.
The fourth stage play, titled Hyper-Projection Engeki Haikyu!! "Shinka no Natsu" (Hyper-Projection Stage Play Haikyu!! "Summer of Evolution"), ran in Tokyo in September 2017, and also ran in Osaka, Hyōgo, Miyagi, and Fukuoka before returning to Tokyo for its final October 2017 run. The third stage play ran in Tokyo, Miyagi, Osaka, and Fukuoka, and back to Tokyo in March to May 2017. The second stage play ran in Tokyo, Iwaki, Fukuoka, and Osaka in November-December 2016. The first stage play ran in Tokyo, Osaka, and Miyagi in November-December 2015.
