NisiOisin, Food Wars! Creators Collaborate on New Manga

New manga appears on Shonen Jump on Saturday

This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that writers NisiOisin and Yūto Tsukuda, and artist Shun Saeki are collaborating on a new romantic comedy manga titled Jump Rabucome Matsuri (Jump Rom-Com Festival) that will appear in the magazine's next issue on Saturday. The wording in the announcement indicates the manga will be a one-shot.

NisiOisin is a prolific writer best known for his Monogatari Series of novels, many of which have received anime adaptations by Shaft. He also wrote the Zaregoto and Katanagatari light novel series, the Medaka Box, and the Jūni Taisen novel, all of which inspired anime.

Tsukuda and Saeki launched Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012, and it ended its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in June. Shueisha's Jump Giga magazine published a three-chapter Shokugeki no Sōma: Le dessert epilogue manga The manga previously inspired three television anime series, and a fourth season will premiere in October.
