Film is the story of a young man in Tokyo who can stop time

Anime Limited has Tweeted that Kenji Kamiyama's feature film Eien no 831 (Eternal 831) will be released in some UK Odeon cinemas on December 13. Anime Limited linked to a page on the Odeon website. The film is listed as subtitled; no dub for the film has been announced.

The story is described at the site:

"In the present day, the world is in turmoil due to an "unprecedented disaster". A young man living in Tokyo, Suzushiro, has a secret he cannot tell anyone. That secret is that he can stop the time around him despite his thoughts. One day, he meets a girl named Nazuna who has the same "power". When he learns that she is being used in a crime, he impulsively reaches out to help her."

The anime premiered in Japan in January 2021 on the WOWOW satellite TV channel. The anime commemorates the network's 30th anniversary, which was in April 2021.

Gō Shiina (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) composed the music for the anime. Music duo angela performed the anime's theme song, while KanoeRana (first TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ending theme) performed the opening theme song.

The anime's cast includes:

Kamiyami is now directing The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim feature film.
