Ji-sub So to Star in Live-Action Adaptation of Webtoon Manager Kim

Korean actor Ji-sub So has been cast as the lead in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Manager Kim, based on the webtoon of the same name, which is drawn by Jeongjongtaek and written by toy.
The eight-part series will follow the story of Kim, a seemingly ordinary office worker who reveals his past as a former special agent after his daughter suddenly disappears. Determined to rescue her, he risks everything and returns to his covert skillset. So will take on the role of Kim, a devoted father who becomes a one-man rescue force.
Manager Kim is a spin-off set in the same universe as webtoons Lookism, Viral Hit, and My Life as a Loser, and became an instant hit upon release.
So most recently starred in Netflix's Mercy for None, which is also based on the webtoon Plaza Wars: Mercy for None. The series entered Netflix's Global top 10 in 75 countries and ranked No. 1 in nine countries, with 76 million views in its second week.
Fans can read the Manager Kim webtoon, which was serialized between 2021 and 2025, in English on WEBTOON.
