Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc Showcases its Powerful Product Portfolio Including Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Duel Terminal at Gama Trade Show

El Segundo, Calif. (March 17, 2010) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE) announced today plans to present their Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) products at this month's Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Trade Show in Las Vegas, March 23 – 26 (Bally's Las Vegas, Booth #131). KDE will share their 2010 product line; exhibit the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's DUEL TERMINALs, and discuss their continued organized play efforts that are blossoming under their guidance.

“We are excited to offer our Tournament Store owners a variety of programs that will help them to increase traffic to their stores by making them an official destination. From a mix of product releases to satisfy our fans to our league programs, we are giving the stores the tools to have a successful year,” said Yumi Hoashi, Vice President, Card Business for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.

One of the highlights of the show will be the hands-on demo of the wildly-popular Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's DUEL TERMINAL. These arcade-style video game machines can play and teach the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, and dispense cards to players. The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's DUEL TERMINAL provides both new and existing players the opportunity to experience the highly strategic characteristics of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME in a fun and casual way. The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's DUEL TERMINALs will enable stores to increase foot traffic, generate enthusiasm and greatly complement their in-store events.

In addition, KDE representatives will be available on-site to discuss the Pegasus and Duelist Leagues, as well as plans for Regional Qualifiers. They will also review and answer questions about their Tournament Store support software systems – COSSY (Konami Card Game Official Tournament Support System) and KTS (Konami Tournament Software).

On the product side, the new Absolute Powerforce booster packs (MSRP: $3.99) released last month set the stage for the first half of the year resulting in a sold-out status on KDE's side. Five unbelievable Synchro Monsters anchor this 100-card set, including new trump cards used by TV favorites Yusei and Jack, as well as the amazing new Dragons of arch-villain Rex Goodwin. Absolute Powerforce also includes 10 World Premiere cards, including the new XX-Saber Emmersblade card, which made a big splash at the February 27-28 SHONEN JUMP Championship in Nashville. Officially sold-out prior to its launch slated for late March, the Absolute Powerforce Special Edition is a great value at $9.99 by combining three Absolute Powerforce booster packs with one of two variant cards: Dandylion or Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.

On the heels of Absolute Powerforce is the ready-to-play Machina Mayhem Structure Deck. This 40-card playable Deck was introduced late February with a $9.99 MSRP. Machina Mayhem includes 11 brand-new cards, and gives Duelists the tools they need to Summon awesome engines of destruction. Structure Decks like Machina Mayhem are perfect for Duelists who know the basic rules, but are looking for a launching point to build a competitive Deck for tournament use. Machina Mayhem has everything a Duelist needs to start down that road, including Deck, full rulebook, deluxe Game Mat, and Dueling Guide with tips on how to power up the Deck even more.

Perfect for Duelists looking to add popular cards to their Decks, the brand new 2010 version of the Duelist Pack Collection Tin contains 3 packs of Duelist Pack – Yusei 2 – plus 1 pack of Ancient Prophecy. Each Tin, released earlier this month, also has a special 3-card all-foil pack with 3 of Yusei's favorite cards from the animated series. As a special bonus, each Tin includes Yusei's amazing Starlight Road Trap Card, an unbelievable card that provides ultimate defense and lets the owner counter-attack with their Stardust Dragon monster. One of the most anticipated Trap Cards in years, Duelists everywhere will be sure to want at least one Starlight Road card – possibly two, three, or even more! (MSRP $9.99)

Rounding out the second and third quarters are Duelist Pack – Kaiba –, releasing next month for $1.99 per pack; The Shining Darkness booster set and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Card Sleeves in May; a new Starter Deck to release in June; in July, the 60-card Hidden Arsenal 2 set, with double the cards of the extremely popular Hidden Arsenal, which released in 2009; and the Duelist Revolution booster, set for an August release. Hobby Stores will want to make special note of this year's upcoming edition of Gold Series, a Hobby exclusive, to be released this Summer.
