Xam'd theme song “BACK ON MY FEET” by Boom Boom Satellites with special Xam'd collaborated wallpaper now available for free on BBS-NET.com

Fresh off of their US tour and the recent release of their best of album OVER AND OVER, Boom Boom Satellites' song “Shut Up And Explode” is the title theme for season one of the hit anime series Xam'd: Lost Memories, and “Back On My Feet” the theme for the second season.

Given the need for Xam'd to reach both a foreign and a Japanese audience (Boom Boom Satellites is one of only a few Japanese bands to have achieved global popularity) coupled with Director Masayuki Miyaji belief in the bands music to accompany his very unique story, the choice of Boom Boom Satellites makes for a perfect fit.

"We'd had songs used on anime movie soundtracks before, such as APPLESEED (2004) and Vexille (2007)," explains Boom Boom Satellites' bassist/programmer Masayuki Nakano. "But this was the first time we'd been involved in a series. Since the credit sequence was strictly limited to 89 seconds, I had to edit the song down, which was actually really hard work."

"I started with the image of a closed place," explains Boom Boom Satellites' guitar/vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima of his lyrics. "It's really ourselves that explode and break out from that place. Like an egg, something hatches, and afterward we have become something else."

"When they asked us about the project," says Nakano, "we saw the proposal and a one-minute trailer, and even from that we thought, 'This looks big.' We felt it was more like cinema quality."

And now, Boom Boom Satellites' “BACK ON MY FEET” mp3 and a special Xam'd x Boom Boom Satellites special wallpaper is available for few weeks only on BBS-NET.com

BOOM BOOM SATELLITES; Electronic/Rock unit with bassist/programmer Masayuki Nakano and guitarist/vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima - first broke in Europe in 1997. Absorbing both electronic and rock elements and creating a completely new and unknown sound, BBS have proven themselves one of Japan's most exciting crossover acts, touring the U.S. with such artists as Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and Moby, performing at festivals worldwide (including Glastonbury (1998) and Leeds (2004), headlining the White Stage at Japan's vast Fuji Rock Festival in 2007.

BBS is also highly acclaimed by creators outside of the music industry, especially in the anime world, the modern pop cultural ambassador of Japan.

Their songs have been featured for the 3D Live action anime film "APPLESEED" and "VEXILLE", and the recent "Xam'd: Lost Memories" featuring BBS's "SHUT UP AND EXPLODE" and "BACK ON MY FEET" as its opening theme.

Their music has also gained attention from film creators including Luc Besson, who picked up their song for his film “Yamakashi”, and both songs "Scatterin' Monkey" and "4 A Moment Of Silence" were featured in the Hollywood film “THE DARK KNIGHT”. Most recently, "WHAT GOES ROUND COMES AROUND" was selected on the "SAW 3D" original soundtrack.
