Late To Work

Let's get biz-ay.

Hi I was wondering if you could answer or find the answer to a question I have. The question is as follows: What is the status of the second season of The Big O and when can we expect it on dvd in the US?

Thank you.

~Tony

Well, I wouldn't "expect" anything, really. Bandai announced the title a while ago and has yet to actually release anything. It may be caught up in development hell or mired by budget concerns, but for now, we don't know anything about it. You'll just have to wait and see what happens. When it is released, you can bet you'll see it on Cartoon Network shortly afterwards.

To whom it may concern,

Is it possible to get a copy of the "End of Evangelion" Red Cross Book translated in English? Any info would be a plus! Please keep me posted and keep in touch.

J. A. Redondo

I've heard that translations exist on the internet for that book, but there aren't any copies printed in English. I looked around on the web to see if I could find any English translations and didn't have any immediate luck. Koulikom, however, did find some. Check these sites:

I watched the series Vision of Escaflowne and Cowboy Bebop and enjoyed the music by Yoko Kanno so much, I had to find other series in which she did the score. I had found on some website that she did the music for the series Turn A Gundam, but knowing the Internet is full of idiots (you excluded) I was wondering if that was true. Thanx a bunch.

Rhiannon

Yeah, Yoko Kanno did the music for Turn A Gundam. She also composed the music for Brain Power'd (In which the music was the only thing worth watching the show for.), Earth Girl Arjuna, Macross Plus, and assisted with the soundtrack to Jin-Roh. She also composed songs for Record of Lodoss War TV, Clamp School Detectives, Card Captor Sakura, Macross Dynamite 7, and the first nine tracks on the Memories soundrack. For the record, I am an idiot. I just have a public forum to write in.

dear answerman,

where can i get some of those escaflowne tarot cards?

thank you,

joe

You had to buy the DVD set to get the Tarot cards. I'm not sure if Bandai is still offering them, but when you bought an Escaflowne DVD, you got a coupon entitling you to a Tarot card. They might be offering a complete set with the purchase of the boxed set, but I'm not certain about that. www.animeondvd.com should have details.

You really got to help me before I lose it. Seriously does Tenchi from Tenchi Muyou and etc ever pick one of the girls and gets married? I've seen Ryoko In pictures with a little girl so I think I could be her, but alas I haven't a clue. I cant get my grubby little hands on the New Series (yet tee hee) so does he get married at all in that one? Help me before I kill all tenchi related items. Thanks

Katie

Well, the thing is, that question hasn't been answered yet. They have yet to release the upcoming third OVA series, and they haven't said whether or not Tenchi will finally pick one of the intergalactic chicks that pursue him. The newest series, Tenchi Muyo! GXP, doesn't concern itself with Tenchi Masaki directly, so you won't find any answers there. You'll just have to wait for the new OVA series. Can you kill all Tenchi-related items anyway, just for me?

Hi,

I was just curious if there is any way Manga entertainment will release all 152 episodes of Fist of the Northstar. I read on your website Manga will only release episodes 1-36 and possibly not license the rest of the series. Is that because of low vhs sales or is it because of another unknown reason.

Commander Ding

Manga has said that they only have the license for the first 36 episodes of Fist of the North Star. I suspect that sales have been low enough to warrant canceling the release of the series. 152 episodes is a massive commitment and there are very few people who are big enough fans of that particular property to buy all 152 episodes. I can only speculate, though. I'd imagine that if it is actually selling for them, you'll see the rest of it. They haven't commented one way or the other, though.

Alright, that's it. I'm out, yo.
