Nintendo 3DS crossover game between Level 5 & CAPCOM's 2 hit franchises

Nintendo announced during its streamed Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday that the Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney (Layton-kyōju vs. Gyakuten Saiban) Nintendo 3DS crossover game will be heading to North America and Europe next year.

The studio BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Darker than Black, Wolf's Rain) produced animation sequences for the game. Level 5 released the puzzle-solving/courtroom battle game in collaboration with CAPCOM in Japan last November.

In the Japanese version, Yō Ōizumi (Brave Story, Howl's Moving Castle) and Maki Horikita (Densha Otoko series, Always: Sunset on Third Street) reprised their respective roles of Layton and Luke from the previous Professor Layton games and the anime film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.

Additionally, Hiroki Narimiya (Gokusen's Noda, NANA's Nobu, Akihabara @ DEEP's Page), who played Ryuichi Naruhodo (Phoenix Wright) for Takashi Miike's live-action film version, voiced Phoenix Wright in the Japanese version. Similarly, Mirei Kiritani, who plays Maya Ayasato (Maya Fey) in the live-action film, voice the character for the game.
