The organizers of the J-Pop Summit Festival announced on Monday that model and singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will perform at the event. The event will be held in San Francisco's Union Square on July 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additionally, Kylee will also perform at the event, as well as singer/Harajuku model Una.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is performing the new theme song "Kimi ni 100 Percent" for the Crayon Shin-chan television anime series. That single premiered at #3 on Oricon's weekly sales chart. Last year, the singer's first album Pamyu Pamyu Revolution debuted at #1 on the United States iTunes Store's bestselling electronic album chart. The artist also sang in last year's Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle), the New Year's Eve singing contest that is Japan's most viewed music television program, and has been featured in Jigoku no Misawa's Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! manga. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is also singing a new song that will be featured in the Japanese theatrical release of the Star Trek Into Darkness film.

The 19-year-old bilingual singer Kylee has performed theme songs for Blast of Tempest, Heroman, Mobile Suit Gundam UC, and Xam'd: Lost Memories.

The J-pop Summit Festival will be held on July 27-28. The festival is also hosting illustrator Katsuya Terada as well as various anime and live-action films including: Library Wars, Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge, Naruto Shippūden: The Lost Tower, Resident Evil: Damnation, Wolf Children, Tiger & Bunny The Movie - The Beginning, Helter Skelter, Himizu, Rurouni Kenshin, and Space Battleship Yamato.
