Silver Spoon's 1st Trailer Introduces Main Cast

Anime of Fullmetal Alchemist creator's latest manga to begin airing July 11

The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's (Fullmetal Alchemist) Silver Spoon manga posted the first trailer on Friday. The trailer features miwa's “Kiss you” opening theme song.

In the trailer, Ryohei Kimura (Neo Angelique Abyss, Valvrave the Liberator) plays Yūgo Hachiken as he expresses his confusion after entering an agricultural school. There, he meets many people who decided to go to the school in order to achieve their dreams.

Tomohiko Ito (Occult Academy, Sword Art Online) is directing the series with assistant director Kotomi Deai at A-1 Pictures. Taku Kishimoto (Bunny Drop) is writing the scripts, while Jun Nakai (Mardock Scramble films, The Sacred Blacksmith) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Shusei Murai (Allison & Lillia, Aiura) is scoring the music. The original manga follows a boy's life in an agricultural school. Kimura and Marie Miyake (Penguindrum's Ringo) lead the cast which also includes Tooru Sakurai, Ayahi Takagaki, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Masayuki Shouji.

The anime will premiere in Japan on July 11 on Fuji TV's Noitamina block, and is scheduled to run for at least half a year, or two cours (kūru). Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan
