Kadokawa began streaming a second promotional video for the anime adaptation of anime adaptation of the Shinmai Maō no Testament (The Testament of Sister New Devil) light novel series by Tetsuto Uesu (Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero) on Tuesday. The video features the anime's opening theme song, "Blade of Hope" by sweet ARMS.

Basara: What are you so surprised about? You're the one who said it... That both demons and gods exist... And heroes, too!
Basara: The thing called a "brother" is someone who protects his sister, no matter if he turns the entire world against him!
Basara: Just wait... I'll erase it for you until your sadness and pain becomes zero! Banishing Shift!
Mio: He knew everything, and still said he'd protect me! He said it was because we're family!
Mio: The ecstacy battle action that passes the critical point!
Mio & Basara: The Testament of Sister New Devil. Starting broadcasts in January 2015.

The main cast includes:

Yūichi Nakamura as Basara Tōjō, a male student who used to live alone with his father, and is bewildered by the sudden addition of step-sisters to the family. He vows to protect his younger sisters with everything he has.

Ayaka Asai as Mio Naruse, Basara's step-sister, an obstinate but beautiful girl with big breasts. She's actually the daughter of the devil king, from whom she inherited power.

Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Yuki Nonoka, Basara's childhood friend. She is reunited with Basara after he changes schools but...

Kaori Fukuhara as Maria Naruse, Basara's step-sister. Her true form is a succubus. She looks like a lolita but acts erotic toward Basara and Mio.

Yuu Asakawa as Chisato Hasegawa, the too-beautiful school nurse at Hijiriga Saka Gakuen, the school the Basara and the others attend.

Keiji Fujiwara as Jin Tōjō, Basara's father, a go-getting photographer who travels the world, but what are his true colors?

Hisashi Saito (Haganai, Fantasista Doll) is directing the anime at studio Production IMS (Inari Kon Kon, Date A Live II) from scripts by Takao Yoshioka (High School DxD, Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle). Yoshihiro Watanabe (Heaven's Lost Property, Haganai) is designing the characters for the series and Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music.

The "rather risque battle action" story centers around Basara Tōjō, a first-year high school student who is flustered by a sudden question by his eccentric father, "Hey, didn't you used to say you wanted a little sister?" Plus, his father announces that he is getting remarried. His father brings over two beautiful step-sisters, but then embarks on an overseas trip. However, the two sisters Mio and Maria Naruse are actually a novice devil and succubus.

Basara almost ends up forming a dangerous servant and master contract with them, but due to an error, the contract becomes reversed, and Basara becomes the master instead. To add to things, erotic situations continuously start to happen in Basara's life. However, it turns out Mio is having her life targeted by other monsters and heroes. And so, the "desire/action" tale of the strongest contractor begins.

Uesu launched the light novel series with illustrations by Nekosuke Okuma (Nitroplus) in 2012, and the sixth novel volume will ship on August 30. Kashiwa Miyako has been drawing a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine. Another (light novel) series by Uesu, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, also inspired a television anime.

The Testament of Sister New Devil will premiere in January.
