"It just doesn't get any better than this.”

- Video Store Magazine (now Home Media Retailing)

Based on the popular Japanese manga by Shirow Masamune, this high-tech sci-fi anime series continues on with new chapters of the futuristic tale first brought to life in the acclaimed anime feature film Ghost in the Shell. Once again, female cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi and her fellow police officers of Section 9 hunt down a host of criminals in both the real and online worlds.

In Volume 6, Togusa finds himself in the hospital after being shot, but is desperate to impart what he's learned to the rest of the group. It seems other clandestine groups have become aware of Section 9's investigations and are determined to make their move against them. Major Kusanagi seeks to repair her prosthetic body after incurring severe damage in a battle against the government's latest prototype weapon. When she discovers that someone is out to get her, Aramaki learns that this conspiracy goes deeper than even he expected. Meanwhile, the cyber-terrorist known as “The Laughing Man” re-emerges and abducts the president of Serano Genomics just as he'd done six years earlier. Is history about to repeat itself?

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is now airing on Cartoon Network's “Adult Swim" where it continues to gain high ratings week after week with 12-24 year old males. The show is being heralded by many as the landmark anime series of 2005. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex features stunning animation and extraordinary design that combines action, adventure and political intrigue into a masterful sci-fi anime series. Each DVD volume contains bonus features that include interviews from both the production team and the voice actors from the series.
