Crunchyroll Heats Up Winter 2014 with Slate of New Anime and Manga

CRUNCHYROLL HEATS UP WINTER 2014 WITH EXCITING AND INDUSTRY-LEADING SLATE OF NEW ANIME AND MANGA

Streaming service announces a record number of anime to watch, including WAKE UP, GIRLS!, SILVER SPOON 2, and NOBUNAGUN

(January 21, 2014) – Crunchyroll, Inc., the leading online Asian entertainment streaming service, has announced new additions to its anime simulcast lineup and now offers free and premium users a record of more than 50 simulcast shows to enjoy for the winter 2014 season. Crunchyroll currently streams simulcast shows within minutes of Japan TV broadcast to viewers in over 200 countries and territories and subscribers in over 160 countries in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Turkish.

New anime simulcast highlights of the winter season include a wide variety of action, comedy, drama, fantasy, and adventure from Japan's top creative talents and animation studios. Titles that are new to Crunchyroll this season include: ONEE-CHAN GA KITA, MAGICAL WARFARE, PUPA, WAKE UP, GIRLS!, WITCH CRAFT WORKS, HOZUKI NO REITETSU, STRANGE+, HAMATORA, ENGAGED TO THE UNIDENTIFIED, WOOSER'S HAND-TO-MOUTH LIFE: AWAKENING ARC, SONI-ANI SUPER SONICO THE ANIMATION, SEITOKAI YAKUINDOMO SEASON TWO, THE PILOT'S LOVE SONG, TONARI NO SEKI-KUN: THE MASTER OF KILLING TIME, NOBUNAGA THE FOOL, RECENTLY, MY SISTER IS UNUSUAL, SAKI – THE NATIONALS, Z/X IGNITION, WIZARD BARRISTERS, LOVE, CHUNIBYO AND OTHER DELUSIONS! REN, NISEKOI, SAKURA TRICK, NOBUNAGUN, SILVER SPOON 2, and WORLD CONQUEST ZVEZDA PLOT.

Also new in winter 2014, Crunchyroll's manga service, “Crunchyroll Manga” (www.crunchyroll.com/comics/manga), has added titles from Japanese publisher Futabasha, including the manga series INSIDE MARI, SILVER NINA, and LOVE THEORY, and OKITENEMURU, with more to be announced soon. Crunchyroll is also proud to welcome publisher Shonen-gahosha and literary agent Cork to the growing lineup.


Effective immediately, all Kodansha manga titles on the service, including ATTACK ON TITAN, FAIRY TAIL, SPACE BROTHERS and more, are now available to be read in English in the following 14 countries, bringing the availability to over 180 countries - Italy, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Hong Kong/Macau, Malaysia, China, Brazil and Mexico.

Crunchyroll Manga simultaneously publishes (“simulpubs”) the latest manga chapters at the same time they are released at newsstands in Japan, allowing readers to follow their favorite stories with no time delay via web browser, iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices.
