| Higurashi no Naku Koroni (manga) | Excellent | Wow! I think I like this better than the already great anime. It's a bit less graphic and easier to take in as well. Not by much, though. |
| (The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (manga) | Bad | Wasted oppurtunity. The disjointed, twisted story makes absolutely no sense (a conversation Kyon and Haruhi had at the anime's beginning now happens much later, Yuki and Ryoko's fight is closer to the beginning and happens before Mikuru and Koizumi enter etc.) and the art style is messed up, looks smudgy and devoid of charm. Don't get me wrong, I'm a gigantic Haruhiist but I absolutely HATE this! |
