| Full Metal Panic! (TV) | Very good | One of my favourite franchises. The mix of drama and comedy may seem a bit weird in places but it works incredibly well otherwise. |

| Higurashi no Naku Koroni Gaiden Nekogoroshi-hen (OAV) | Excellent | I always liked the mystery aspect of Higurashi over the murder aspect and as a result I LOVED this OAV. |
| Karin (TV) | Very good | The daily escapades of a "reverse-vampire" is quite a novel take on the tired high school romantic comedy genre. |
| Lucky Star (TV) | Very good | An anime for otakus. You'll need to have at least watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya before this one, for all of its references. |

| Re: Cutie Honey (OAV) | Masterpiece | One of my all-time favourites. The story is surprisingly deep, the animation is gorgeous and the characters are involving. The fanservice does get a bit over-the-top, though. |
