Manga creator Miyuki Yorita began streaming a trailer for the live-action film of her Her Kiss, My Libido Twinkles (Kanojo no Kuchizuke Kansen Suru Libido) yuri manga last Friday. The film will have a limited one-week screening at Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo from November 7-13, with one screening on each day at 5:35 p.m. JST. Yorita posted a trailer for the film on her YouTube channel. The film's Kickstarter page reveals that the film will also stream with English-subtitles.

The manga inspired four live-action shorts that Yorita produced independently and posted on her YouTube channel with English subtitles in 2022. The film is a continuation of that project, and began with a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign that Yorita launched on May 26. The campaign successfully raised 2,729,100 yen (about US$17,900), which reached a stretch goal for an English-subtitled release of the film.
Kentarō Yamagishi ("Tokyo Mukokuseki Shōjo" short, which inspired the 2015 Mamoru Oshii live-action film) directed the film, which stars Yui Watanabe, Moeka Uwaka, Erika Harada, and Yume Arakaki.
The manga creator describes its story:
Sana is hospitalized after injuring her leg. While there, she meets Ayane, a girl who is hospitalized just like her. After seeing Ayane countless times and growing curious about what she is like, a stroke of fate helps Sana reach out to her...
Xfolio Shuppan published the manga digitally in individual chapter form and in compiled book volume form. There are three volumes. Yorita's Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to release the manga in English ended successfully in September 2024, surpassing its goal of 700,000 yen (about US$4,762). The campaign raised 3,740,249 yen (about US$25,448) from 429 backers. he campaign also surpassed several stretch goals, which will include English translations of two short manga and a book cover for the physical copies. The English version debuted physically and digitally in December 2024.
