Anime Central 2002

by George Phillips,

Anime Central 2002

2002 marked the 5th year of Anime Central, one of the larger anime conventions in the country, and certainly one of the most enjoyable. Once again, this year marked a move between hotels. ACen was comfortably located in the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, an outstanding hotel with spacious (yet amazingly affordable) rooms and excellent staff.

Last year, an uncomfortably cramped construction zone laughingly called a hotel hindered both fans and guests alike. This year, however, it seems everything went right. Kind and courteous hotel staff aided even the smallest need, and seemed to find no desire too large to assist. Additionally, easy-to-locate ACen staffers abounded.

All-in-all, I would like to compliment Anime Central on their choice of hotel this year, and sincerely hope that ACen will be able to remain there in the future. I would also like to thank the numerous hotel and ACen staffers who took such great care to make this weekend a blast!

Anime Central occurred between Friday, April 19th and Sunday April 21st, 2002.
