Pokémon GO Smartphone Game Has 800 Million Downloads

The Pokémon Company announced during the Pokémon 2018 Video Game Press Conference on Tuesday that Niantic's Pokémon GO smartphone game has been downloaded 800 million times.
The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries including the United States in July 2016. Analytics company App Annie reported in October 2016 that the game had earned US$600 million in less than 90 days. App Annie also reported in January 2017 that the game had earned US$950 million in 2016.
