Pokémon Quest Game Gets 1 Million Downloads Worldwide in 1st 2 Days

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Nintendo announced on Friday that its Pokémon Quest Nintendo Switch game has received more than 1 million downloads in the first two days of the game's release.

The Pokémon Company announced the game on Wednesday, and released the game on the same day.

The game is a free-to-start game that allows players to "face off against wild Pokémon and embark on many exciting expeditions." The game will have a smartphone version in late June.

The game features Pokémon from the Kanto region, but they are portrayed in a new cube-like appearance. The game is set in a place known as Tumblecube Island, which is filled with hidden treasures and items. Players control a team of up to three Pokémon to explore the island while fighting other Pokémon, collecting treasure, and befriending new Pokémon. Players can customize the characteristics of their Pokémon, and can use Power Stone items to strengthen them.
