LoveR Dating Sim Game Delayed to March 14

The official website for Kadokawa Games' LoveR PlayStation 4 game announced on Tuesday that the game is delayed to March 14 in Japan. The game was originally slated for release on February 14. Kadokawa Games stated that it is delaying the game to further improve the quality. As an apology for the delay, the company will release the "White School Swimsuit" costume as free downloadable content, since the game will now launch on White Day.

LoveR (pronounced "Love - R") is an original dating simulation game from Kadokawa Games, producer Ichiro Sugiyama (KimiKiss, Amagami, Photo Kano), and designer Tarō Minoboshi (formerly Mino☆Tarō of Tokimeki Memorial, LovePlus games). Similar to Sugiyama's earlier Photo Kano, the LoveR game has a photography theme.

Sugiyama launched Kadokawa Games' Sweet One brand in October 2017, and teased at the time that the brand's initial dating simulation game offering would debut in 2018 with the themes of "photographs" and "movies."

Minoboshi designed characters for Konami Entertainment's Tokimeki Memorial and LovePlus franchises before leaving the company in 2015 and adopting a new pen name.
