The 24-hour Japanese-language channel FAMILY GEKIJO U.S. announced on Friday that it is airing the anime Beeton the Robot (Robokko Beeton) and The Zerotesters (Zero Tester) in the United States in February. The channel does not offer English subtitles.
Beeton the Robot will premiere on the channel on February 13 and air Monday-Friday at 9:00 a.m. PST. The show, which features character designs and animation direction by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (Mobile Suit Gundam), originally aired from 1976-1977. The series follows a boy who receives a robot from his uncle but makes a mistake in assembly.
The Zerotesters is airing Monday-Friday at 4:15 a.m. and Saturday-Sunday at 9:00 a.m. EST. The mecha-action series originally aired in Japan from 1973-1974. The story follows three young "Zerotesters," pilots of combining vehicles that combat aliens.
Tohokushinsha Film Corporation launched the FAMILY GEKIJYO U.S. channel exclusively on the USA's DISH Network, in collaboration with Superswiss, last April.
