Le film Maquia - When the Promised Flower Blooms fera son retour au cinéma au Japon le 23 février

Le studio P.A. Works a annoncé mardi que son film Maquia - When the Promised Flower Blooms, coproduit avec Filmarks, ferait son retour au cinéma, au Japon, à partir du 23 février. Une belle manière de célébrer ses cinq ans !

Le titre est en effet sorti en février 2018, avec 32 000 entrées et 48 millions de yens pour une 5e place au box-office sur son premier week-end de projection, dans 76 cinémas de l'archipel.

Il marque les débuts d'Okada (The Anthem of the Heart, anohana) au poste de réalisatrice.

Akihiko Yoshida (NieR:Automata, Bravely Default, Final Fantasy XIV) a fourni les designs originaux des personnages. Toshiya Shinohara (A Lull in the Sea, Red Data Girl) était le réalisateur en chef. Yuriko Ishii (Kuromukuro, Another) a adapté les designs des personnages pour l'animation et a également travaillé comme directrice d'animation en chef. Kazuki Higashiji (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 1nd GIG, A Lull in the Sea) était le directeur artistique, et Tomoaki Okada (Fullmetal Alchemist, The Sacred Star of Milos, Blast of Tempest) était l'artiste en charge de l'art et du design concept. Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) en a composé la musique, et Kazuhiro Wakabayashi (Ghost in the Shell, Bungo Stray Dogs) était le directeur son.
