Smile Precure! Let's Go! Märchen World Game Revealed

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Players create happy endings for fairy tales in franchise's 1st 3DS title

This week's issue of Enterbrain's Famitsu magazine revealed the Smile Precure! Let's Go! Märchen World game, which will be the first Precure franchise title for the Nintendo 3DS. Bandai Namco Games has slated the title for release in Japan for 5,040 yen (about US$63) on August 2.

In the game, players will complete minigames to restore happy endings in various classic stories and fairy tales ("märchen" in German). The eight featured tales will be Little Red Riding Hood, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, The Tortoise and the Hare, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Hansel and Gretel, Tsuru no Ongaeshi, and Snow White. When players clear each story's minigame, outfits and decorations inspired by the story will become available. Players will then dress their Precure franshise characters in clothes from the stories and pose them to the beat of a tambourine in the game's fashion show mode.

The game will also feature a picture mode where players can create photographs of themselves beside images of Precure characters. Another mode will allow players to read the famous fairy tales.

Suite Precure♪: Melody Collection, the latest Precure handheld device game, shipped for the Nintendo DS in Japan last August. The ninth Precure magical girl television anime series, Smile Precure!, premiered in Japan on February 5.
